iPhone
What do I like about it?  Keep in mind I have an iPhone 4, or is it a 4s, what ever it is it’s yesterday’s technology.  Why?  It was ‘free’.  Sure it was.  But, it came with the overpriced and terrible phone service, so why pay a few hundred dollars for the latest model to go with the terrible service?  Anyway, there are many things I do like about it.  Could I live without it?  Sure.  But I do like having it now that I do.

Browsing Web Sites

Well, not so much.  You see my eye isn’t what it used to be, even with bi-focals.  Yeah you can sorta zoom in which I must do, but it’s a bit of a pain.  The Safari browser takes some wrangling to get where you want to go.  So I rarely do this with my phone.  Mostly if I need a map or want to see business hours for a chosen destination.

Social Sites

Facebook, Twitter, flutter, flitter. No draw for me here either.  Let’s face it, the constant-in-touch-knowing-every-little-thing-several-someones-do has worn out it’s welcome.  So why should I partake in such postings when they seem a trifle too narcissistic to me?  Writing this ditty is plenty of that. Not to mention, if anyone is casing the place and I tell them I’m across town… well, that seems like a rather stupid thing to do.

Email

No no no no no. I get too much email to contend with on my laptop computing experience.  I just don’t feel the need or desire to be that available when I’m not hovering over my laptop.

Info

The address book, calendar, reminders, all synced with my Macs, count me in.  That is handy and I use often.

Music

Somewhat.  It has replaced my iPod when I go out walking.  Not because it’s better, but simply because it can and why carry two devices?

Camera

This is fun.  Not for those serious, memory making, artistic shots, but to capture something when I left the ‘real’ camera at home.  The video option is fun too but not used much.

Texting

A funny and relatively new word in the English language.  My clumsy fat fingers are not adapting well to the onscreen keyboard.  The ‘key’ I use the most is delete. I don’t text a lot because I’ve already had enough frustration in my life in general.  When I do it’s with a few very special people who are worth sending my blood pressure to the moon for.  So don’t text me.  PLEASE!  If you do, don’t expect a reply.  Now you know.

Apps

These I like.  More on these later.  Maybe a list with links even.

Conversing

Oh yeah, it is a phone, right? I Still do that the most, which isn’t too often.
