One step in that process is to verify downloaded files with the checksum provided by the software provider, when they provide one. In the years since I converted to Macs from Windows, I&#8217;ve yet to find a simple-to-use, free app to verify those checksums. So, I rolled my own which I have named <a href=\"http:\/\/creed3.com\/c3\/scripts-and-apps\/c3checksum\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">c3checksum<\/a>. &nbsp;Yep. &nbsp;You can <a href=\"http:\/\/creed3.com\/c3\/scripts-and-apps\/c3checksum\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">read all about it and download it here<\/a>. &nbsp;If you&#8217;d like an app that has more options and complexity I also ran across <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/JayBrown\/Checksums\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Checksums<\/a> which looks like an amazing option. I myself have not yet tried it but thought I&#8217;d offer it as an alternative to <a href=\"http:\/\/creed3.com\/c3\/scripts-and-apps\/c3checksum\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">my own simple solution<\/a>.
