\nSo here we are a few months in to this thing.  The first thing I can say without question is that phone calls on the AT&T network suck<\/u><\/i><\/strong>!!  No seriously.  <\/p>\n

We had to get what they call a micro-cell at home in order to have ANY signal strength.  This thing connects to the AT&T network through the internet.  Now you could say “well, they can’t be expected to have great signal strength out in the boonies”, which might be a good point except we presently live in a heavily populated large U.S. city with cell towers everywhere you look.  So this micro-cell gives us 5 bars constantly in the house, however walk outside and 20 ft. away and they quickly fade to black as the call signal transfers to the nearest tower from the micro-cell.  Walk back in to the house and the call doesn’t go back to the micro-cell.  So one must hang up the call and wait 15 seconds for the phone to find the micro-cell again.  Nice.  Add to this that if we lose power or internet we have no signal.  Good for emergencies!<\/p>\n

AT&T says they don’t guarantee any signal with their service. Ummmm…. but I’m paying you for cell service which means I get a signal.  Nope, sorry, we don’t guarantee you will actually get a signal.  WOW – so I can now sell people a service, and only intermittently provide the service I’m charging for and that’s okay.<\/p>\n
